Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is an
omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid, taken as a gastro-resistant oral capsule, for the treatment of Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP). Clinical study data demonstrates a significant reduction in rectal polyp number in subjects with familial adenomatous polyposis who had previously undergone colectomy and ileal-rectal anastomosis.
